YBLADE Releases Single "Favorite Person"

Winder artist YBLADE, who also runs the brand Dyzina DNA as a music label and clothing line, released the single “Favorite Person” from the upcoming project SugarValentine on all platforms today. “Favorite Person” is a well-polished track with a catchy trap beat and R&B-driven vocals. Featuring Noheart Kap and Duke Da Singer, the track was also touched by two prominent Athens artists—Mackboy on the beat and engineered by Kxng Blanco.

“I love working with other artists. It expands my perception… helps me find balance so I don’t only rely on my own understanding,” said YBLADE.

The artist has deep roots with Athens—some bad but now moving toward the good. Having heard about the Athens hip hop scene for a long time, he states that prior trauma and pride wouldn’t allow him to embrace the local culture. When YBLADE was a child, his father was murdered in Athens, creating that separation and unwillingness to work in the city. However, now YBLADE has integrated into the city and found a lot of enjoyment in the scene. He will be performing another single from SugarValentine at the Athens Hip Hop Awards on Saturday, Mar. 5.
