Anime Zayy Releases Album "Anime World"

After a few releases this year that really established their sound, Athens artist Anime Zayy dropped the long-awaited album Anime World this past Saturday now streaming on all platforms.

The single “Orange Chicken” came out back in March followed by the Anime World Co. website leading up to this release, and Zayy has been continually hitting stages since then. This album is the product of years worth of work and a strong vision for Zayy’s brand. Patience paid off as the pieces came together to form a very cohesive album you’ll want to listen all the way through again.

“My favorite part of Anime World honestly was watching it come to life. I've been working on Anime World for I wanna say three years. Back then though, it was just an idea. I just knew that this album had to be the one. The one that is gonna separate me from the rest. I knew I wasn't at the level that I needed to be on, so I dropped other projects to perfect my craft,” said Zayy.

Although the artist has deep roots in Athens, his sound has a foreign element that’s different from a lot of the music currently coming out of the Classic City. Zayy’s fanbase is diverse as well, from R&B to indie to trap lovers - Anime World has a solid collection of vibes that appeal to a variety of listeners. However, there is still a sense of community in his work with familiar features throughout the album including Lil Kell, Mighty Mal, Convict Julie, and Easy Ave.

“In the music industry, there are very talented artists all around. I just wanted to separate from that mix and create my own vibe, my own lane, create a feeling that makes you levitate. Like you're on a different planet,” said Anime Zayy.

His branded slogan “join the solar system” is fitting as the marketing aesthetic and tracks themselves provide the feel of launching into space for a very wavy journey. Zayy talks a lot about setting a bar for himself and others, and from this album it appears he’s set that bar in outer space. There is certainly more to come from Zayy in the near future.

“If it wasn't for my family and supporters, I wouldn't be able to create this. Looking at their reactions, how happy they are because of my music, I want the universe to feel the same thing. So we are about to take over. I have music videos lined up, we have shows lined up, everything is going as planned. Anime World is going to open the door to the music industry and we are ready,” said Zayy.

Be sure to stream Anime World and follow Anime Zayy on Facebook and Instagram for updates.
