Mack2Tone Releases Debut Album "Fool Me 2wice"

Only halfway into the year, emerging artist and Athens native Mack2Tone has taken control of 2021 with a “now or never” attitude through a series of releases including her debut album Fool Me 2wice. Within its first week of being released on all platforms, the album reached an impressive nearly 10K streams.

Pain and passion fuel the artist’s music in a very personal way, which can be felt in every track. It’s a very real and emotional storytelling experience ditching bravado for old school drama. There’s a consistent vibe of punchy flows and raw R&B throughout the album that carries you straight through in one sitting.

“This is the most vulnerable I’ve ever been in my music in general. This album is a love story that went terribly wrong, so there was literally blood, sweat, and tears that went into the creation,” said Mack2Tone.

Spending the last five years as a college athlete was time-consuming and led to Mack2Tone putting music on the back-burner. Now that she’s graduated, the dam has broke on her 100+ songs in the vault. Plugged in to the Athens scene, her brother Will the Producer made the beat on “Mighty Titan” with Kxng Blanco mixing and mastering the entirety of Fool Me 2wice. As a first album, there’s an established sound and identity that’s sure to continue maturing.

“In ‘Mighty Titan,’ I pulled two audio clips from the past in order to show the authenticity of my situation. It’s the only track on my album where the last chorus is different from the others. This is because I began writing the song at the beginning of my past relationship and finished writing the song after we split up,” said Mack2Tone.

Visuals from the album will be dropping the rest of the year in addition to another album or EP. It’s an understatement to say that there is more to see from Mack2Tone.

In the meantime, stream Fool Me 2wice on Apple Music, Spotify, or Pandora and follow Mack2Tone on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter for updates and new content.
