Sajaad Releases Single "What's Next"

The last time Volumes checked in with hip hop artist Sajaad was the end of 2021 with the release of his album Manifest. Relatively new to Athens, he saw it as “a great place to create buzz with the right plan,” and since then he’s accomplished exactly that.

Sajaad just released his standalone single “What’s Next” on Friday, Mar. 3—getting ahead of the question everyone always wants to know. The smooth track has a very contemporary, radio-ready sound. It’s a straightforward listen without anything particularly complex happening, but the playability in the car on a warm spring day is high. “What’s Next” just might leave you asking the very same.

“As an artist, I feel I’m just getting my feet wet. I’ve been making some strides the past couple months and have a clearer vision moving forward. This year is about execution, growth, and having fun along the way. Each day is another day to manifest,” said Sajaad.

Although you won’t find this single on an upcoming album, it’s part of a rollout campaign of tracks experimenting with sounds to reach new audiences and build a wider fanbase. Current fans should stay tuned for more singles to be released as part of this campaign as well as an EP with BroDaGod, who features on “What’s Next.” The tentative release date for this EP is the end of May, and visuals for the abovementioned tracks are in progress.

In the meantime, what’s up next for Sajaad is his second Dare 2 Dream event happening at Live Wire on Thursday, Apr. 20. Early bird tickets are currently available for $5.
